The AR Interactive VIC Construction Site Safety Guide is produced in partnership with the Civil Contractors Federation (CCF) Victoria and endorsed by the National Safety Council of Australia (NSCA) Foundation as an initiative aimed at increasing safety awareness and reinforcing a positive safety culture and best practice in the building industry.
Topics covered in the new edition include the CCF Victoria initiative Positive Plans – Positive Futures Project, supported by Work Safe to assist with workplace mental health action plans; working with Respirable Crystalline Silica (RCS); managing the risks of falling objects; the legislative changes in the National Construction Code 2019 (NCC2019) regarding fire safety in the construction industry.
The free Pro-Vis AR app can be downloaded onto your smart device and used together with the Guide to view additional resources, seen as augmented reality (AR) content, such as videos and 3D models, which offers PCBUs a new way to approach safety training.
The Guide is distributed free across Victoria to building contractors, construction contractors, licensed builders, crane owners, scaffolding companies as well as education and training institutes.
