The NZ Mining & Quarry Industry Guide to Safety is supported by the New Zealand Institute of Safety Management (NZISM) and safety specialist, Minter Ellison Rudd Watts. With the recent implementation of new work health and safety regulations across New Zealand, fundamental changes affect all those who are involved in the industry: in underground and surface mines, tunnelling operations, quarries, clay pits and other resource operations. This year’s topics include, emergency management requirements, guarding of belt conveyors and fatigue management.
