November 8, 2008 The award, presented at the Master Plumbers Association of NSW Industry Dinner on 8 November, recognises a business for professionalism and initiative in workplace health and safety.
Mid-Richmond Plumbers and Suppliers won the award for their unique edge protection system which can be retrofitted around a domestic house or commercial building, providing a safe work environment when replacing roofing. The system has been particularly successful following last year’s devastating hail storms in the Lismore district when numerous properties suffered extensive damage to their roofs and had to be safely replaced within a short period of time.
“The edge protection system we have designed has allowed our employees to safely replace roofing in a timely and cost effective manner. It is great for a small country based company like Mid-Richmond Plumbers to receive the recognition of such a prestigious award,” said Mid-Richmond Plumbers’ Steve Alder.
