Daffodil Day As part of Pro-Visual Publishing’s corporate involvement in the community, we encourage staff to contribute to the Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day each year. The money raised helps the Cancer Council fund essential services, education and research programs, making a difference to the lives of people with cancer today, and helping to protect lives tomorrow. This year, staff at Pro-Visual Publishing added a bit of yellow to their outfit on Daffodil Day, using wrist bands, brooches and daffodil pins. Funds collected from the purchase of all Daffodil Day merchandise went directly to the Cancer Council. For further information on the Daffodil Day, visit www.daffodilday.com.au Club Red Corporate Programme In July 2008, Pro-Visual Publishing joined the Australian Red Cross Blood Service Club Red Corporate Programme. Several staff from Pro-Visual Publishing took time off during lunch to visit the Red Cross Blood Service Centre at Clarence Street to donate blood. Around 21,000 donations are required each week across Australia to ensure there is enough blood for those who need it. One in three Australians will need blood at some stage in their lifetime, however currently only one in thirty give blood regularly. Pro-Visual Publishing encourages its staff to participate in community services such as these that not only enhances Pro-Visual’s corporate team spirit but presents each member of the team, an opportunity to help those in need.
